Daniel Steinberg is a seasoned commercial litigator and creditors’ rights attorney with more than 25 years of experience advising institutional and individual clients in complex enforcement, restructuring and dispute matters. His practice centers on protecting creditor interests across the full lifecycle of a matter, from pre-litigation strategy and workouts to judgment enforcement, lien foreclosures and bankruptcy proceedings.

Creditors’ Rights & Judgment Enforcement:
Daniel advises creditors on a full range of enforcement strategies, including commercial collections, receiverships, statutory liens, foreclosure actions, lien priority disputes and judgment enforcement in state and federal courts. His experience includes supplemental proceedings, creditors’ bills, garnishments and executions, as well as other tools used to identify assets and secure recoveries. Clients rely on Dan to develop clear, effective enforcement strategies that protect their rights, preserve available remedies and move matters forward efficiently.
Bankruptcy & Insolvency
Daniel represents secured and unsecured creditors in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 proceedings. His work regularly involves relief from the automatic stay, plan objections, adversary proceedings and challenges to claims. He has also represented debtor-in-possession lenders in Chapter 11, Subchapter 5 matters. Daniel approaches bankruptcy matters through a strong commercial lens, helping clients evaluate options, protect collateral positions and navigate restructurings with focus and urgency.
Commercial Litigation & Business Disputes
Daniel is an experienced trial and arbitration attorney handling complex commercial litigation across state and federal courts. His matters have included breach of contract claims, fraudulent transfers, minority shareholder disputes, corporate dissolution issues, real estate and title disputes, construction-related claims, and fiduciary litigation. He is known for developing case strategy early, aligning litigation decisions with business objectives, and guiding clients through high-pressure disputes with discipline.
Workouts, Transactions & Secured Lending Support
In addition to litigation, Daniel prepares transactional documents that support loans and commercial deals. His work includes documentation for the sale and purchase of real estate, LLC ownership interests, personal property, and intangible assets. He drafts and negotiates security agreements, trust deeds and UCC-9 filings. Daniel also advises on workout strategies and settlement structures that balance recovery goals with sound legal risk management.
